Misan Fabrics is a family business that have been around for more than 35 years. They are open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 6pm and are closed on Sundays.
Their purpose was to become a trade supplier to the designer, fashion and couture market by procuring ‘the finest European cloth available to meet the needs of world class designers both locally and from around the world.’
They have a range of fabrics from lace to wool but specialise in jacquard and liberty silks as well as stocking handmade Italian French lace. They have a collection of Linton tweeds – using one of the same British based suppliers as Chanel.
Where to find them:
Walking through the store the cloth is neatly placed each print and type in its own section. It’s safe to say this was one of my favourite shops even if it is based on an irrational appreciation for beautifully organised fabric rolls. It was a breath of fresh air. Just look at it.
